Rebecca Jean, the artist soon to be known as Rebecca St. James, got her start in music at the tender age of 13 when she released an independent album titled Refresh My Heart in her native Australia.
While in Australia, Rebecca served as the opening act for several shows before moving with her family to the United States. She eventually signed a record deal and officially changed her name to Rebecca St. James. In 1994, she released her self-titled debut, which featured hit singles “Here I Am” and “Side by Side,” songs that underscored her commitment to serving God. Rebecca's second album, God, gave the fresh-faced girl’s an edgy makeover with a more rockin’ sound that was especially evident on the title track. In addition to being a champion for sexual purity in songs like “Wait for Me,” the outspoken Grammy-winning singer has also been an active pro-life advocate, sharing her views with many national media outlets over the years. Aside from singing, Rebecca is also the best-selling author of several faith-centered books and has recently moved to Los Angeles to pursue acting. In 2009, she starred in the straight-to-DVD release "Sarah’s Choice" and is teaming up with actors Stephen Baldwin and Candace Cameron Bure in "Faith of Our Fathers" debuting this spring. In the latest chapter of Rebecca's life, she recently became engaged on Christmas Day of 2010.

Some impressive things she has done. I am going to keep an eye out for the film 'Faith of our Father's. Lovely bio of her. :))
